About Sunset Gallery

Sunset Gallery, founded in 2024 by artist Suzanne DuCom, is a thoughtfully curated space dedicated to celebrating both contemporary and traditional art in all its forms. While the gallery is rooted in DuCom’s signature sunset paintings and the exclusive Earth Axis series, an innovative rotating display designed to be viewed from multiple perspectives, its vision extends far beyond a single style or medium.

The gallery features a richly diverse collection that brings together Native American art, contemporary works by local artists, sculptural pieces, and carefully selected paintings from the 20th century. This eclectic mix allows visitors to experience art across generations, cultures, and techniques, creating a dynamic and ever-evolving visual dialogue.

In addition to fine art, Sunset Gallery proudly supports regional artisans by showcasing handcrafted pottery and jewelry, offering visitors the opportunity to connect with locally made works that blend craftsmanship with artistic expression. Each piece in the gallery is chosen for its character, story, and ability to contribute to a space that feels both timeless and modern.

Sunset Gallery is a place where tradition meets innovation, local voices are elevated, and art is meant to be experienced from every angle.

About Suzanne DuCom

Suzanne is a Contemporary-Traditional oil painter based in Oklahoma City, where she creates from her gallery, Sunset Gallery on Paseo. From an early age, Suzanne knew she wanted to be an artist. Raised in a family deeply connected to the art world, her mother an accomplished artist and her father the owner of an art gallery representing works from the 19th century to the present, she was surrounded by creativity and fine art from the start. This upbringing, along with her parents’ extensive personal collection, provided her with constant inspiration and a strong foundation for her artistic journey.

Suzanne began honing her skills early, taking various art classes throughout high school before studying at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) and the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO). She further refined her technique through private study at the Dennis Parker Art Academy, where she discovered her deep passion for oil painting, a medium that continues to define her artistic voice.

Her work has been exhibited and collected across the United States and internationally. Suzanne has earned numerous awards from regional art shows and judged exhibitions, reflecting both her technical skill and emotional depth as an artist.

Best known for her colorful landscapes, vivid sunsets, and her signature Earth Axis series, Suzanne captures the beauty, light, and spirit of the land. While her portfolio embraces a range of subjects, the majestic landscapes of the American Southwest remain at the heart of her artistic focus.
